Atom Aged Care New Zealand specialises in the provision of Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology and Dietitian services to residents of Aged Care facilities.

This means that we use thorough assessments to tailor evidence-based treatment plans specific to each resident's individual needs. This ensures that the correct level of care is being delivered to increase well-being, improve quality of life, promote longevity and assist in pain management and falls prevention.

Our staff have been hand-picked for their excellent clinical skills, coupled with their friendly and professional disposition, but most importantly their passion for providing a high standard of care.

Atom Aged Care New Zealand’s passion is centred around giving back to the community, to put the onus back on Care by keeping our costs down, by only providing ethical treatments and by aiming to use publicly available funding where possible.

Our podiatry programme is an excellent outsource option for all Aged Care facilities, offering a fully managed service supporting both the clinical and administrative aspects of podiatric care in an Aged Care setting. The programme allows us to service high and low care residents as part of the same service. Our team of highly trained professionals will always give friendly and caring service.

Alternative funding sources are always considered as a means of lowering facility costs while improving resident's access to servi ces aimed at improving their quality of life. The benefits derived from physiotherapy in pain management and falls prevention cannot be over-estimated, particularly in an Aged Care setting.

Our mobile physiotherapy team provide regularly scheduled visits with the same practitioner seeing a resident to enable more personalized and comfortable experience.

Our Speech Pathologists are able to assess and treat swallowing and communication disorders. Speech Pathologists can work with facilities to improve resident’s safety when swallowing food and drinks. This may include recommending texture modifications and safe swallowing strategies.

Speech Pathologists are also able to work with people experiencing communication difficulties including speech, language, fluency and voice. Speech Pathologists support communication difficulties that may be caused by strokes, brain injuries, dementia, developmental delays and a variety of other disorders.

Our Dietitians are able to assess resident’s individual nutrition requirements and provide realistic and appropriate dietary advice and implement individual nutrition care plans.

They can also play an integral role in menu planning and review to ensure your menu is nutritionally adequate, varied, and flexible enough to cater for residents that require texture modification while providing enjoyment for all residents.

Other services can include:

• Malnutrition screening - can be conducted to identify residents at risk of malnutrition or who are malnourished.
• Supplements - Individual prescription of supplementation and ongoing monitoring and review of residents supplement requirements.
